All of us at Project: LEARN of Medina County were devastated to learn of the passing of Louise Hanko Brown. Louise served as a board member of Project: LEARN since 2012, and was our president in 2014. In addition to her board duties, she volunteered at our Brunswick BookShelf.
As a staff member at Medina County Job and Family Services, every day she cared for the vulnerable children and elderly of our county. She served on multiple nonprofit boards, often taking leadership roles. She was the presiding chair of the Family First Council in our county this year. In so many ways, her generous spirit and heart was demonstrated through her actions. She was not loud or flashy; she never demanded recognition or accolades. She simply wanted to be of service to others.
May we all live by her example: caring for others, through not just word but also deed. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.
