Project: Learn of Medina County extends our most sincere thanks to Eagle Scout candidate J.D. Webb of Wadsworth-based troop 512.  For his Eagle Scout project, he designed and built the gorgeous shelving unit pictured above.  As you will know if you’ve visited our Wadsworth BookShelf, it is located in a former bank office.  The old bank vault is where we shelve many interesting things–our antique/antiquarian books, summer reading titles for Wadsworth Schools, and all our media offerings.  It’s difficult to wedge prefabricated shelving units into that space, so J.D. designed and built a custom storage solution for us.  It’s it fantastic?  We are blown away by the finished product!

But J.D. isn’t finished!  He’s also coordinating a book drive for the BookShelf.  This scout has truly gone above and beyond with this project.  Store manager Diane Shreve reports, “J.D. was extremely professional throughout this whole process.  He would call me with updates, so I always knew about the project’s status.  And the final installation was very fast–and it fits perfectly!  I talked to him about what we needed, and he really listened–I couldn’t be more thrilled with J.D. and the troop’s work!”

J.D., THANK YOU.  This will be something we use for many, many years to come!  Everyone, please stop by the Wadsworth BookShelf to see these beautiful shelves in person!
